What is a good modern ballad to sing?

I have to sing a modern ballad for an audition but i can't think of
any. I was orginally thinking of the song "I Want to Know What Love
Is" but i'm not sure if it's really a ballad. Can someone please give
me some advice? It would be greatly apreciated!!! :D
